You haven't missed the plot. I was thinking the same thing!itsmeagain wrote: »Have i missed the plot? I don't understand what we are meant to conclude unless we know the cut of beef and weight?
It could be brisket, it could be sirlion. The 7 joints could be 100g each, they could be 2kg each.
Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j

Just curious hehe.
Precisely that - I get complaints from the family if I do it on a Monday! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Am I being a bit dim but does this actually save money?
I thought joints were priced per kilo regardless of how big they are?0 -

The meat was on special, otherwise we would`nt have bought it.The fact is for what we paid for it and the amount of joints we got out of it, it has savd us money because i know if i went to the butchers to buy one of the 7 joints it would cost me a damn site more so i have saved money by doing it this way.
Might not work for you but it does for me.:T0 -
I wasn't being sarky, just genuinely interested if this would save money, wasn't sure if supermarkets sell larger joints for less per kilo or something.nuttywoman wrote: »The meat was on special, otherwise we would`nt have bought it.The fact is for what we paid for it and the amount of joints we got out of it, it has savd us money because i know if i went to the butchers to buy one of the 7 joints it would cost me a damn site more so i have saved money by doing it this way.

If it was a special offer then worth stocking up on, well done.0 -
Bought one of these rascals at the weekend. Had a nice bit of rump on Sunday, only problem is the kids are finding it distressing when she drags herself through the front room.
