7 Joints of Beef for £20

Yesterday we went to Sainsbury`s and bought 2 very long joints of beef. 1 joint was priced at £9 the other at £11 .Hubby cut them up into 7 smaller joints - enough for 3 people each .:T
The other week we did the same with some Pork joints as well.
Does anyone else do this? :D

Yep, I do this. As there's only 3 of us it can work out to be quite a bargain.

I do this also. Only 2 of us. Takes some work doing it with whole legs of lamb.

i always do this. i often buy 2 or 3 big joints when sainsburys have it on offer and save a 1/3. i find out of a £14 ish piece i will get 4 or 5 from each. were a family of 2 adults and 3 young children. and find this is enough for us. although when doing the shop spending £14 on one item in a weekly shop is alot. it saves money in long run , as we then get 4 or 5 meals from it thus making it very good value.

I tend to roast the whole piece, then after we've had our lunch from it I keep some aside to be minced for cottage pie the next day. Then I slice up the rest, cover with gravy, portion it & put it into the freezer.

All the time - that way you get the right size joints! Also cook enough on a Sunday to have leftovers on Tuesday.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Why not on a Monday? Or do you have a different thing to eat on a Monday because you don't fancy the same things two days in a row?
    Just curious hehe.

Have i missed the plot? I don't understand what we are meant to conclude unless we know the cut of beef and weight?
It could be brisket, it could be sirlion. The 7 joints could be 100g each, they could be 2kg each.
