the only thing there is is that working tax credit pay up to 80% of childcare fees.I know that I'm ancient and my brats are now 18 and 22, but wasn't there a promise from the Government ( which ever bunch of wazzocks were in at the time) that GUARANTEED childcare so that parents, particularly single-parents were able to go to work?
Or was that another Government BS Promise?

Not sure but it wouldn't be financially viable anyway as I wouldn't be earning enough and would end up losing out as wouldn't be able to claim working tax creditRight
Jet - Hope the boobies are ok. Was it an enlargement or reduction if you dont mind me askin?
BR - Good luck with the interview today
I-A - I hope the childcare doesnt prove to be a stumbling block. There has to be a way surely. Do CAB do the old Childcare Voucher Scheme too?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Pepe, the childcare thing was probably based upon paying an unfeasibly low rate

Sounds about right Bookie, Coventry BSoc ( who used to be by far the cheapest for me ) wanted £527 to renew:eek:( £4000 claim in last 18 months ) confused came up with similar cover for £180. happy days, no loyalty where Insurance is concerned.
Unrelated to this Bookie, have you checked out www.bdl.org.uk yet?
No.
Bookie runs and hides under a rock away from all this sorting.0 -

Which isn't a lot of good when you need the other 20% is it!?
One day we will have these Schemes ( and all Social Work related to Kids ) formulated and managed by PARENTS!
Wouldn't it make sense to have a Scheme that payed 100% for the first 2 months which would enable back-to-workers to get their money sorted out? Or would that just be common sense?

I suppose the child care issue is similar to the 'free nursery place' for all children......yes, but between the hours of 10 and 12....not much use to a working mum :rolleyes:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
