Orange business site added this promotional line to their existing site -

'If your business only uses one phone and you sign up to Business Plus, you'll get unlimited calls to all other Orange mobiles for the first half of your contract.'

Do you think they will expand on this? I was planning on taking out two phones so wouldn't be eligible unless they were two seperate accounts.

Edit - Just read the terms and conditions and it says in the small print the orange to orange free calls is charged at £10 extra per month after the first six months. At least the service is still there. Only for single connections so I'd probably apply for two seperate phones (sounds a little stupid they've done it this way).

    From MoDaCo.com:
As many of you have been aware for a couple of months now, Orange are planning on refreshing our current pay monthly talkplans as of 1st April 2006.

Last year it was Orange's strategy to refresh its PAYG talkplan, and offer more to reward loyal customers such as 'Repay Prepay', 'Bonus Topup' & 'Upgrade Reward' - Each had its own benefit, but somehow pay monthly customers felt a little left out.

Because of this, Orange started to offer a loyalty upgrade for existing customers who were in months 10-12 of their contract (and outside of their contract period) the chance to upgrade into an 18 month contract and have either 10% line rental discount, or free weekend calls.

As popular as this was, its had quite a negative reception - especially with Orange Shops and independents. Orange cut commission payments on normal 12 month upgrades, and only rewards phone trainers and dealers with high payouts on 18 month loyalty upgrades and new connections...

So what about the new talkplans? Well the codename for them at the moment is Tempest and all is very hush hush outside of the upper management of Orange at the moment.
All I have for you at the moment is an internal document hinting at what the new talkplans will offer.
As soon as I get more specific info for you (I will be going on a training course in the next couple of weeks), I'll let you all know, if it doesnt leak before I get chance to.

So here's the document.. make of it what you will.. will be interesting to see if Orange's new Serviceplans will be competitive to keep up with 3 and O2.

***Board Guide note, sorry I have had to remove the document as it is too large and distorting the thread***

I think I already mentioned that - odd that this person has posted exactly the same in more than one place

Very good deal indeed. The inclusive minutes to catch the random off network call is a good bonus too.

I must be missing something. For a business tariff it seems awful.

    Also,

On the new tariffs, Im sure when you sign up you get a one Orange number to ring and all your calls to that number are free, then after 6months you get a second number so two numbers are free to call.

Dont quote me on this but would be brilliant if this was the case

A business tariff: you get to choose how many minutes you u want, say business 1000 which means you get 1000 mins to t-mobile, o2, 3, vodafone and unlimited calls to orange.

Say you evenly speak to each network the say (very hypothetical, I know) means that you would usually get 200mins to each of the 5 networks, but since all your calls to roange are free, that is saving you 200mins a month.

Means you are in effect getting 200 extyra free mins.

Obviously this could work better or worse for you (dotn ring Orange, or only ring Orange)

Im sure Panther is a slight change to Premier

Change can only be good though

Eco could you check the one/two free number offer and get back to us? That's all I would need really and may as well stay on Domestic.

    Edit-

Found this on Mobile Today's website:
    http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/artman-test/publish/article_1231.shtml
Orange’s new animal tariffs, which will launch in April, will offer 50% more minutes than they previously did on 18-month contracts, and 25% more on 12-month ones.

The word ‘tariffs’ has been booted out in favour of ‘customer types’: racoon (basic), dolphin (low-end), canary (mid-range) and panther (replacement to Orange Premier). Texts will be bundled into the new tariffs, as opposed to the previous format, which required customers to buy an additional text bundle.

On signing up, Orange customers can pick another Orange number that they can call for up to one hour and be charged only 1p. After six months, they will be able to add another Orange number which will qualify for the same deal.

Customers will no longer be able to downgrade their tariffs until the eleventh month.

The changes have been introduced to prevent cashback deals being overlaid on Orange’s tariff propositions.

Is that a general post regarding the unlimited calls to Orange customers or a reply to my post saying it doesn't seem much good as a business tariff?

It was a reply to you but I see your point now. Lots of businesses need landline calls it just so happens I don't need that many and I would be using it alot for personal calls too. A lot of my friends and family are on orange.

Another reason to wait now is the texting. I dont really text much, i just phone but I got friends who text me and I do reply.

If you read the register it seems that Orange are really messing up their tarrifs come 1st April.

You can see the full article here...

    Bob.

Sorry I didn't search properly - could a moderator merge this with the other Orange tarriff thread. Sorry to all.
