Huge £30 credit on used (or new!) games

just phoned stockport, they said they had taken quite a few off the list scorpio can u let me know what they will give me £30 for please hun, i need a dsi for my sons 13th b/day in june cheers x x

just wanted to thank you, as today i went into the bham branch and was given £275 trade in on numerous games had to be spent there and then, so big thank you to everyone for posting the info,if you want details of games traded let me know.

First I called them up to read them my list of possible trades (..Nightmare! Because he didn't check the comp, he was just guessing from the top of his head!) So then I went instore to find out what they were and weren't taking. Well,..tried to!

All the cheap DS games from like Tesco (Brain training/More Brain Training/42 all time classics etc/Cooking mama 2 etc) and the ones from the ChoicesUK sale last Thurs (bar Destroy All Humans PS3) they are not taking anymore....Actually probably not even Destroy all Humans by now either!

Their T&C's actually state 'Titles may be substituted without notice' but when asked what 'substitution' is to be made for them, ie; another game in it's stead hence their word substitute, they went quiet! Seemed more like 'revocation without notice' to me rather than substitution :rolleyes:

Best call them up hun and see what they say, or post on here what you have and i'll try and let you know what they aren't allowing as you will need 5 accepted as their DSi's are £150

Hi, i don't go to the Bham one but out of curiosity as to what they are trading there (so i can compare it to Stocky)...what games did you trade in please?

Just got back from Stockport. Handed over Bully, Sonic Secret Rings, sonic Gravity riders and Eledees (not in the offer, but I'm bored with it. The first 3 were handed straight back to me with a curt "We don't take these games anymore", and they only offered me £1.86 for Eleedees, so I took them to HMV and got £24 credit for them, which wasn't too bad!

I phoned the stockport branch this morning and was told the only games that are still in the list are chart games.

Its a bit silly of them to list all of these games and not expect people to trade them in. They should of stuck to the list. IMHO

For info - I've been to the Birmingham shop this morning and was well impressed. They did say they weren't taking all games on the list as 'some people are abusing the offer' and therefore they had a glut of certain titles -e.g. Brain Training.

That said - we got £190 for 4 Wii Games, 3 DS Games and a DS console in 'OK' condition. They weren't going to give us the full £30 for a couple of them, but they were really friendly and I was friendly back and they did do it in the end ;-).

We did have to spend it there and then. I believe I could have taken cash as I asked - but it would have been quite a lot less. They thought we should get a DSi with the money but my son didn't want one - he rarely used his DS (hence the trade-in) so it wasn't worth it. So we got 8 new Wii games instead and he's well happy!!

Also - they are very knowledgeable and do a very good guarantee (1 month) and also if you take a game back (even played) within 7 days they will allow you to swap it for another of the same original value! Great deal - I'll be going back there!
