Always dangerous to ask what somewhere is like after you have booked it!

We were very disappointed - the only chocolate you see being made is part of the packing line.

You see them making chocs in one of the theatres, was called Essence or something.

And when we went there was a marquee with clowns and circus tricks which the girls loved. In fact our girls loved the trail of walking through the factory and up and down stairs. It was the excitement and anticipation for them to see what was around the next corner rather than seeing chocs being made. You have to see it from their point of view rather than an adults who may bemoan the cost any any queues.

Granted it's not a place to keep you entertained for a full day but it's worth going to see once.

  • just to let you know i went today, we all had a good day, the queing was horendous though, probably due to it being easter. we arrived around 10am and it was really busy, when we was leaving close to 2pm it was even buisier. i had also pre booked and paid for my ticket so i expected it to be faster, but we had a brill day which made up for it. in reply to the previous post there is certain times were you will be seated during your visit around cadburys in various zones, but there is also a lot of walking / standing. make sure you check out escence after you have done your main tour, for your melted cup of goo!! we also got loads of chocolate given to us on 3 or 4 different occasions around our tour.....mmmmmmmm all in all we had a great day (us as well as the kids) lol x
