Stoozing - How well did you do?

Still money for nothing
And the £ 420 will help pay for the valium you had to take when Kaupthing went belly up. Or if like me you had money in Kaupthing and IceSave then maybe it won't be quite enough
Still money to be made, but takes a bit more effort. Have a look at some of the A&L and Abbey 6% accounts, spread your pot over them and there's still a half decent profit. Getting a workable repeat on the Virgin card might be a problem though, don't know anyone with a decent offer in last 6 months."A child of five could understand this. for me, stoozing is now dead in the water until IR's pick up again - hopefully in 2010.
If it was £4.20, then I would agree it was unspectacular - but £420 is hardly a small amount, so you should give yourself a pat on the back.
I agree about stoozing being dead until IR go up again though - I don't think it's worth the effort, even for a slow stooze.0 -
Once I've settled my M&S TC stooz I'm down to my last £9K on a Halifax repeat deal (6 months 0% fee-free). If it wasn't for my £10K A&L current account stooz (sat in Halifax fixed at 5% until November) I wouldn't be making much these days at all.I agree about stoozing being dead until IR go up again though
Slow-stoozing will always be profitable. As to the 'effort'...if you have to administer a credit card why not a 12 months 0% on purchases card?...especially (and with the exception of Amex 5%) since most cashback cards are limited to 0.5%/1%. Plus there are secondary cashflow benefits to be had by using slow-stoozing cards.I don't think it's worth the effort, even for a slow stooze.0 -
And it keeps a level of activity for the inevitable increase in IR
