Stoozing - How well did you do?

Options
So here we are at the beginning of another tax year.

But if you were stoozing during 2008/9 tax year, you should now have had your interest calculated!!! So how did you do?

I have been stoozing since Sept 2007 on my Halifax Credit Card / Halifax ISA and during the tax year 2008/9, I earned £126.66 interest on Halifax's money. Added to the £30.69 I earned in 2007/8 tax year, this makes a combined total of :T:j£157.35:j:T across the 15 month interest free period on the card.

How did you do?

Don't do financial years, do calendar years instead :)

Last year total was £ 1,953.

I've made around £800 in 18 months. I'm really pleased with that.

It's being used to upgrade my flight to Florida to premium economy. I know I could use it for something sensible, but we decided that it would be nice to use it for something frivilous instead!

Great - you did really well. I only do financial years cos that's when the interest is paid.

Are you doing anything with the interest , or just reinvesting?

£200 in 12 months. Very happy. This year I'd like to double that!
  • Hi,

Well done to all! I think I'm in line for about 1K, but I find it hard to know precisely as some are still going, and overlap with new applications etc. Also I try and do minimum payments out of my current account to aid the stooz pot.

Do people religiously keep stooz pot away from 'proper' money?

Anyone got a handy spreadsheet that I can enter all the facts into? :)

I reinvest the interest back into my stoozepot - get mine paid monthly so I can see how I'm doing month on month to give that extra bit of motivation.

    Hi,
I am only doing slow stoozing and I am not great at it so far - I should have 3k in my savings account but had to lend my hubby 2k. I get it back over 4 months.
So I earned only about £11 on interest so far..:-((
    (this is since October 2008)
But I use M&S 0% on purchases card and on points I had £14 in vouchers for spend and I have another £10 on the way.
