Firefox question

Hello

I've been using firefox for the past couple of weeks since reading this board, everything has been fine until today, now whenever I log on to the internet I get this message

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at https://www.google.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
https://www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I can type into the address bar and get the page I want but can't search, could it be my pc or could there be something wrong with the installation of the firefox programme

Thank you for any help :)

Have had the same problem for about a month or so!
hitting refresh/reload button normally works and page
    loads OK.
Seems to happen with google and google mail, so seems
to be a google problem, but not really sure.

Overall would still use Firefox rather than IE.

Same with me. Tabbed browsing is great and the toolbar bookmarks are a nice feature.

Only bad thing about Firefox is it eats up a lot of memory, usually if I leave it open over night the next day it'll be using 400mb's of memory...I just have to remember to close it every night before I stop using my computer :o
