Out of interest, did you actually use the word "ickle" when you asked him? - as I would have told you where to go too. ;)

Absolutely not, I was taking the p as I hate it too. Lots of people like hugs/ickle/fluffy bunny stuff though so I thought I would appeal to all;)

Hi Mrs Tine, I do not mean to be arguemental in anyway but isn't the 'Greenfingered' board kinda a hobbies board.

I think it would be a great idea, if other websites can do it surely MSE can!!! Plus brilliant idea considering the credit crisis we're in and good to talk about when Martins doing his shows cos people really are looking to save their pennies anyway they can.

Will be interesting to see why Martin said no in the first place.

Green fingered is supposed to be about money saving in the garden/allotment etc - nothing much more money saving than growing your own instead of buying them from Tesco ;)

And for the record it was ME who suggested it in the past to him when it got turned down :)

And MrCow - no I didn't use the word "Ickle" either ;)

Sadly our board guide thinks its not moneysaving.

Anything that a person can make from nothing or very little is moneysaving otherwise, they would just make people who do it, like Clintons richer. Lots of people do not realise they can make something unless they are shown.

I have pointed people towards this website because of Discussion Time, not special occasions, but I know they have visited all of the site.

The best advertising is recommendation. I would recommend someone with debt problems who also wanted to mend a shoe here.

Actually I'd really like it if you stopped saying your boardguide doesn't think it's moneysaving because that's not only incorrect and misquoting me, but also really annoying me. I SAID Martin has turned the idea down in the past... not that I had!
Things like party favours can go either on the weddings forum (if wedding related) or special occassions if for a party (ie a special occassion :)) If someone wanted to mend a shoe it's not a hobby or craft it's Old style to make do and mend :)

As for making cards... same as favours :) depending on the occassion then they would belong on either the special occassions or the weddings forums.

Out and out hobbies are actually not really money saving in most cases... as I've already said - It wasn't me who turned it down :)
