Could you make these for 15p if you didn't come on here. I expect a resounding nooooo.0 -
Personally I would prefer it to stay as it is. I rarely venture out of this part of the forum and if there was another part to it I would struggle to remember to check there. At least whilst it is all here then it is easy to stay in the same place
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Oh and another thing I wanted to say was that I do not use any accredited/advertised stuff, just stuff bought years ago and I certainly aint about to advertise things, just bring on creativity.0

It,s a great idea, I'm sure we've all improvised with stuff that's already stashed around the house, or the kind of packaging we keep in a "useful box". Perhaps if it was on the OS forum with a snappy title it would be allowed, what do you all think?0
-
And the argument would probably be that if it's related to presents it should be on the special occassions forum
If it's household related then probably OS board - if it's "just" hobbies then there are thousands of arts and crafts boards out there. Bear in mind also that any new boards make it even harder to manage the forum as a whole - the recent new boards we've had have already stretched the BGs as it is and the more boards the more arguments over where something should be because a lot of topics overlap

It's a party favour to put on beautifully decorated tables which a few years back would have cost a fortune, but because of the internet and people shopping around and telling each other where the cheapest bargains are cost next to nothing.
Sadly our board guide thinks its not moneysaving.
Anything that a person can make from nothing or very little is moneysaving otherwise, they would just make people who do it, like Clintons richer. Lots of people do not realise they can make something unless they are shown.
I have pointed people towards this website because of Discussion Time, not special occasions, but I know they have visited all of the site.
The best advertising is recommendation. I would recommend someone with debt problems who also wanted to mend a shoe here.0 -
OK I have put my plea in OS, now it's been moved somewhere else.
This doesn't happen at my WI meetings. I feel quite faint.
Someone, somewhere pass me a Kath Kidston (lookalike) hanky:rotfl:0 -

Hi Mrs Tine, I do not mean to be arguemental in anyway but isn't the 'Greenfingered' board kinda a hobbies board.
I think it would be a great idea, if other websites can do it surely MSE can!!! Plus brilliant idea considering the credit crisis we're in and good to talk about when Martins doing his shows cos people really are looking to save their pennies anyway they can.
Will be interesting to see why Martin said no in the first place.0 -
This has been suggested before and turned down by Martin I'm afraid

Out of interest, did you actually use the word "ickle" when you asked him? - as I would have told you where to go too.
"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
