Re: Cheap Aftershave (perfume)

I have used a few online shops for smellies including Fragrance Direct. Been using DesignR recently who are quite good.
I tend to test them in the department stores and order them online ;Dsomething missing0 -

I have just bought my first cheap perfume from strawberry.net.
It was posted from Hong Kong. I had to pay duty on it but strawberry say they are going to refund the duty.
The problem? - the packaging is impeccable, but the perfume does not smell right to me.
I use Magie Noire from Lancome, and I can't decide if this is 'something else' in Magie Noire packaging - or whether it has 'gone off'.
Perhaps my sense of smell is deteriorating!
I thought I might send it to Lancome for a second opinion.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?0 -
I find the perfume shop to usually be the cheapest. It is worth shopping around, but they usually have special offers on lots of different perfumes. They often give me free samples to try and do free gift wrapping. Or look at https://www.theperfumeshop.com. I've found sunflowers 100ml at £9.99 and green tea gift set at £9.99, also Gucci 50ml set is £25.No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Ebay is a great place for getting reasonably priced perfume/aftershave. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 7.5ml bottle of Chanel No 5 perfume (not EDT or Eau de Parfum but the pure perfume!) for £19.00. Recommended retail is £65, so a great saving. It is brand new, sealed etc. Some people do sell used bottles, but must admit I wouldn't fancy an opened one!
Only trouble is my husband says that perfume was about the last thing that he was able to buy me for presents and now that has gone. It may not be so romantic, but heck if you can save £45 on the product it has to be worth it!
It is definitely worth a look - prices will probably go up a bit at the moment being so close to Christmas, but you never know.

I've been subscribing to the moneysavingsexpert site for a while now & it truly has some great tips & does what it says on the tin! This is my first ever post! After reading the posts on cheap fragrance, gave Fragrancedirect a whirl & would highly recommend them. Placed the order for 90 ml Hugo Boss Woman £19.99 plus £1 p&p on a Sun & was delivered on Wed! It's a tester with no lid or packaging but smells perfectly fine so I'm more than happy. Also spotted my favourite, D&G Light Blue, 100 ml tester, no packaging for £29.99 which is excellent value considering the best I'd previously come across was from Savers for 50 ml @ £22.75. ;D0

hi, i remember someone posted a site that gace you a free gift with each item you order, does anyone know what one it is?
Thanks0 -
I was very impressed with the service from:
https://www.escentual.co.uk
The price of the item I wanted was very competitive and the communications and delivery times were excellent.
It was the genuine article, boxed and sealed.

GreasyPalm are offering a £2.50 cahsback, plus a £3 voucher for smellies etc., on the Yves Rocher site, which is also offering most stuff at half price. I ordered £20 worth of after shave and aftershave balm, received a free gift of 3 pieces of luggage as well, free delivery and £3 off, and the lot cost me only £8. Hope the luggage is OK. Cheers Woodville.0
