they supposed re-routed everyone, the issue happened 32 miles under the tunnel, but it is a main server, so if they still haven't sorted yours by now, then you need to raising this issue with them, they have a duty of care to keep you 1/ informed and 2/ connected with some sort of speed, be it slow or not.thriftyminx13 wrote: »Have the problems with the tunnel been fixed? does anyone know? You definitely need to be contacting Tiscali by now, I complained and everything came back to normal a couple of days ago, email support at
[EMAIL="support@uk.tiscali.com"]support@uk.tiscali.com[/EMAIL] and go to http://www.speedtest.net/ for an accurate speed for your connection. Alan.Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0 -
Okay, I've called them (funny how when you are being chared for calls you go through a multitude of menus and hear the same message repeated over and over again, 5 minutes to get to the correct department then on hold after that), they state there are still issues with the Olympic site and have been advised by BT that normal service should be resumed by Tuesday late evening.
They aloo state some people can not connect at all, hence the Red Light problem some are experiencing i.e. no connection.
I complained that their website service status page indicates no probelms and all is running at 100%.:think: Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here? :think:

My brother is with tiscali and has had no internet for over a week now, everytime he's phoned up to ask !!!!!! is going on he's been given a different explanation every time!
The latest excuse being this problem up london way some where:rolleyes:
I would of thought that a decent thing to do with this latest hiccup is to have some info on there homepage somewhere explaining that if you have no bb that this could be the problem!

Getting really cheesed off with this now been going on for days ...I was able to connect this morning and left computer in stand by when i went out for a few hours when I returned I found it was disconnected again with red light on modem, it has just this minuet come back on hours later. I am sick of phoning Tiscali about this problem, dread to think what my phone bill will be this month because they keep you hanging around for ages before you actually get to speak to someone !!! I am thinking of switching I know a lot of other people who are with BT and they have not had any problems? I do hope Tiscali are going to compensate it's customers for all this inconvenience after all we are paying them for a service they are failing to provide at the moment . :mad:0

as they wont do anything without these, tell them your thinking of leaving because of the recent lack of service, as they have a duty of care to keep you connected.

It seems almost every month Tiscali is down for us. It usually rolls on for about a week at a time and we end up re-installing the router to the computer which seems to solve the problem. Luckily, we havn't been effected by the tunnel breakdown issue; In fact, I have downloaded something at an amazing rate of 64.9 kbytes/sec, which I have only ever experienced once or twice before while on this laptop with Tiscali.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

What amazes me is the fact that so many people have ongoing problems with Tiscali, yet they stay with them.
