Mojoparrot,
Have you had enjoy with reclaiming the PPI on the GE storecard? My mother is in the same situation?0 -
Hi, I have recently requested copy statements from Santander for my Dorothy perkins account.
They have sent me out some but several of the statements are missing. They have also said that because of system issues they cannot find any data pre August 05.
I was always under the impression that they had to hold my information for 6 years?
They have said however that this will be taken into consideration when making any calculations for a refund.
I am now going to try and get my PPI back which incidently was shown on my statements as account cover and not insurance which I dont think makes it clear.
and as for agreeing at the till, YOU ARE AT THE TILL IN A BUSY SHOP BEING SIGNED UP FOR CREDIT AND INSURANCE BY A SHOP ASSISTANT NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR!!!
I will let you know how I get on or dont get on.0 -

Hi there,
Yes they should still hold those details as the 6 years have not passed by yet.
I would write to them and tell them you are aware that they should still hold your details for up to 6 years and you would like them to send you what they have not sent you, and what you have mentioned above by 7 days, and if they are unable to provide them you want a written explanation of why they no longer hold these on data.
Also make them aware that you will consiser contacting the Information Commissions Office (ICO) if they do not oblige, as you have fully paid to receive all your information for the last 6 years.
In case you decide to contact the ico check them out here:
