    Hi Godiva

I contacted national debt line today, and they have booked me an appointment for 17th april, earliest available, to do my application with one of their DRO team , she said phone appointment would be up to 2 hours long, in the meantime they will send me the letter confirming my appointment and the barcode for me to pay £90.00 fee.

I really wish you all the best with it. If my OH gets laid off again we may be looking at doing one too.

He has to ring CCC's this week(took my income into accout for a DMP) to tell them i am out of work so not sure what they will reccomend.

I now i was a bit flippent earlier but i was in no way trying to detract frm how scarey it must be for you, especailly now you have taken those first few steps. I think you are extreemly brave:A

Godiva - I've read recently that if you go in to the branch you can have your barclays account opened there and then.

It normally takes 10 days for the application to be processed.

I opened the same account and received card/pin number all within the 10days.

    Barclays are normally pretty good.

I have applied to co-op, but because i have suffered from identity fraud, its taking longer. They have agreed in principle, after 2 phonecalls, and i have sent off proof of identity that they requested, so should hear soon.
I have been living on my nerves and totally stressed out like you Dizzy, so i went on to CCCS and pressed the button to apply - panic panic panic !!!!
