But now they have introduced a low cap, their prices are very high just for customer service which you don't need very often.0

Not quite unlimited /uncapped - all P2P (no matter what software you use for it) is capped at 20kb down even if you are on a 8mb line !deebee wrote:just gone over to pipex - unlimited uncapped, good service so far!

Hi
f2s say uncapped, but if you go over 100gigs a month, they are now sending out notices, below that your fine, also if you use between the hours of 1-6am downloads are not counted against you, also 1mth contract.
Hope this helps0 -
But they throttle P2P connections with traffic shaping so you won't get the full speed.wonderfullife wrote:Hi

Hi
No sorry, I've always get my full speed when downloading, never had any trouble with it whatsover, on 2mb, I just find it a bit slow when I'm browsing.
At the moment I'm maxed out, downloading an audiobook, from the newsgroups, which is 520mb, it will take under 30mins to get it.
I'm happy0 -
This is from their FAQ:

Very few, of course we require that you do not access the service for illegal use but we block no ports, we preference interactive traffic during peak times and do not restrict bandwidth (excluding our Connect Lite and Connect Home - see our ADSL Home Page for details), we do not practice transparent caching, we do not specify what hardware you use, or how many machines you connect to our service.
Plus a few posts here are about traffic shaping:
