New sim/phone contract

Hi, 1st post on here so hello!
I'm in the market for either a new contract sim with internet access (have own LG cookie for internet etc) or new package with sim, phone etc if cheaper and know nothing about the latest and best deals.
Anyone help me out? Last time I looked a year or so ago there were some good sim deals with internet bolt-ons for £8 or so on top.

Ok so a bit of research and this O2 package (£20 and £10 with quidco) with free mobile internet detailed on another thread looks very good.
One question, what is Quidco and how/why do I need to use that?
