Twin-ended bath with shower

Am about to order a suite from B&Q, whilst their half-price sale is on.
I like the idea of a twin-ended bath with the taps in the middle (I think you know what I'm saying...;)) but am worried that it will make the shower we're having at one end difficult to use.
http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9294747&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=%2f%2fcatal!!!1%2fen_GB&fh_search=luxury+steel+bath&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1239019804097&isSearch=true
What I mean is that, the bath seems to have a gentle slope at both ends, rather than a vertical drop as on a standard bath. With a shower at one end, I'm worried you'll have to either to stand in the middle of the bath and manipulate the shower head, or do an impression of a mountain goat and stand under the water.
It's not a stock item in our local B&Q, so I'm having to go off the picture on the website.

Does anyone out there have something similar and/or can offer words of wisdom?
Thanks

None of us are mountain goats
so yours is a very good question.
Tell us more about the shower, has it got to be at the end , or above the taps.
Have you thought, shower screens etc.
quote I think you know what I'm etc, are you thinking saving water by sharing your shower... a very green idea:rotfl:But not very health/safety. with restricted floor space.
Been there , got the t-shirt:D0 -
As and when ScrewFix get the stock in, it'll be one of these
The product spec quotes 370mm from wall to centre of shower head.
It does need to be mounted on the end wall.0 -

Save your money and buy something british from Bristan rather than morretti
Have tried to get spares for this cheap chinnese tat and screwfix could not assist!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Yes, I fancy a double ended one two, but same problem needing shower at one end. My feeling is the end is a bit slopey (as it needs to be to be comfortable to sit in)- only the 'shower baths' seem to be ideal for a shower. And we have more showers, so I guess that's the sensible way to go unless anyone knows an alternative..0

how about this one?
It's the Vaioset from Bathstore.com, we bought it to go with our shower, it's wider and deeper than your average bath, so 6' hubby has room to shower, and the position of the plug-hole means no-one sits on it during bathtime
The only thing I'd say is if you have children don't go for a click clack waste!0 -
I don't think a fixed head would be a great idea with a double ended bath. If you have an adjustable head you can direct it out slightly so that it's falling at an angle rather than rainfall style over your head.
At the moment, the shower in our bathroom is over the wrong end of the bath and I have to angle it out. That's not an issue in terms of getting wet at all but a fixed head would be.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ooh, now I like the look of that.
Pity it's a couple of hundred quid dearer than the B&Q one, even before the Quidco cashback.
Talking of which, I'm sure that was 20% last time I looked - down to 6% now.
Doh!
(By the way, why does "B&Q" result in no returns when I search the forums? Thought it might be because it was too short a search string, but "DIY" works)0 -
We've got the one in the first picture, absolutely no problem with a triton electric shower, and the head is adjusted fairly close to the end. (I stand between the plughole and the end anyway)
Only little niggle is I tend to slide a bit when I'm sitting in it, so you can't sit upright, but it's good to lie in)0 -
Yes the Vaioset bath is more expensive, but it was worth it for us - the bathroom could take it, and it's the first bath that hubby has ever been able to get his shoulders under water in!!!0
