I posted this in the referers forum the other day, but after doing a quick search realised that nobody had posted the 777 discount anywhere else. I though i'd post if here without my personalised links and hopefully a few more people can use it.....

I was browsing the site and looking at the bargins, thanks for them! (especially the quick going section) and thought i should share the one i found a while ago with everybody. I signed up then and it was great, hope the code is still valid.

Basically dreamhost.com are doing a special offer, it seems to be for
their 7th anniversary (a good sign in itself as it takes something for a
webhost to get to that age!)

It's an american company so their prices are in $ but esentially you get
a years hosting for £5.15 (another bonus was that I used paypal to pay,
but you may get a different exchange rate)

To do it you need to goto https://www.dreamhost.com

and then choose the "managed web hosting" option (3rd up) you can click
"compare all plans" next to crazy domain insane and this gives you the
option to sign up for a year on that plan, if you do this and enter your
details when it gets to the payment stage you can enter the discount
code 777 which reduces the total cost to less than $10 instead of about
$120 for the year.

You can also choose a domain, i got one from them and now have got my
email address using it which looks really good

I've not tried the other hosting options with the discount code (I tried
again but got a message saying the discount is only for new customers!)
so don't know what sort of other bargins are available, but I figured
that for about a fiver (of paypal money not even real stuff ) it was
worth a go.

Use this as you like, So far things seem very good, I'm *exceedingly*
impressed with the control panel which has options for tweaking
subdomains, dns records, email addresses spam filtering etc and loads of
other features. I've no idea how long the discount code is valid for,
until they've got as many new customers as they want i guess.

Please if you do tho and would like to give me some bonus (consider using either this thread

It's a bargain for 1 year, however you'd pay full price in the 2nd year.

I spoke to one of my mates who has signed up a couple of days ago, and apparently the discount also works for the two year deal, so that's also an option.

But yes, seems like it reverts to full price after a year, which is roughly the going rate. I think i'll prolly keep going however, as the features they give are more like what you get with the more expensive packages elsewhere.

Has anybody here signed up?
