nokia 6101 help needed!!!!!!!!

bought my gf one for xmas. its broken on the hinge, its a flip phone. sent away to nokia and they say its impact damage, not covered. i know its not impact damage,as she doesnt really move it other than bedside table to car to work desk and back. she says she hasnt bashed it, and i believe her.

looked all over the net, at mobile parts specialists, and every single part is available apart from the front 'chassis' for want of a better word.

any suggestions/help?

cant afford a new one at the mo.

try some of the bigger shops like cpw -phones 4 u etc and ask if theve got an ex display or a dummy phone you can have

Personally I never been able to salvage anything useable from a dummy phone, they are normally glued together and don't use original parts.

some dummy phones are usable and some are glued up but as its a flip phone there is a chance the hinge will be the same, even if you have to smash the rest of the dummy to get it
