    Hi everyone,

This is my first post, I have been reading this thread with interest because I too had ordered the Cadbury eggs 2 for £3 and since reading all your post had been wondering if I would receive my egg order at the price stated on the tesco site.

I had ordered other eggs aswell as these special offer ones and tonight my order arrived but I had been charged 2 for £10, I called CS and got a very unhelpful man seemed rather off I explained about the offer on the tesco online site his reply was well that is an online error they are 2 for £10 and basically if I didn't like it I can take them back to any shop for a refund.

I did just that I was not very happy with the response I got and after reading all the post on here was half expecting to not have a happy helper at the store I couldn't have been more wrong, I spoke to a lovely lady that was totally unaware of this offer, I explainded what had happened she phoned for someone to come down and confirm the refund she too was unaware of this error offer and said go ahead with the refund, after I received the refund the lady said she was curious as to what the price of these eggs would be so she scanned then while I was still there and sure enough they came up for all 4 total £6, she said to her colleges look at this they were all quite shocked she then turned round to me and said would you like to buy them back all 4 for £6 I said yes so she aswell as refunding me I was allowed to buy all 4 back for £6....result I went home very happy and faith restored. :)

Thank you to the person that started this thread and also thank you to you all for you inputs they have been very helpful :)

Doesn't Tesco still give you double the difference back for a refund if you have been overcharged? Shouldn't you have got 4 quid doubled to eight...I could be wrong though!! And you should have got to keep the eggs? Correct me wiser MSE'rs if I have the policy wrong. I'm never entirely sure of the policy these days.

  • Hi bubblegumcola

I really don't know how the refund bit works I've never had to take anything back before....I'm not sure how they worked it out but even though I brought them again I still ended up paying £11 less for all the Eggs including the ones I didn't take back. So I guess I can't really complain.

Just had a look online, my order is for tonight. The other bit where it is usually in red showing the deal is now longer showing on the screen! Luckily I printed the one out at the time but knowing my luck wonder if they'll be any stock let by then. It's a late evening delivery..

Just rung a local store and they have lots left. Do you think they will appear on the receipt as 2 for £3.00 still? Bit scared to go and try!

Take it to a till and see what it pops up at. If the price is wrong then either give it back saying you've changed your mind, or go to customer services and get a refund.

Which store was this please? In Bracknell on Monday the two big stores only had 1 in each store. I wonder if they cottoned on and took their stock off the shelves or if they really only had 1 in stock :rotfl:

I ordered six for delivery yesterday and got charged £30. Only 5 were delivered.

After a call to CS, I received a refund for £36.97????? (including 6.99 for missing egg).

    So I am £6.97 up plus 5 free eggs..................bonus:j
