    I'm in again.

Just had a lovely day - my youngest grand-daughters' christening. DS2 and wife brought her over here from Dublin to be christened and we all then had a fantastic hot and cold buffet and great get together at DS1's house. As he has 4 kids then this was the ideal situation - much better than sitting in a pub ! We only had about 20 of us there but ages ranged from 91 (my stepfather) down to the newly christened (8 months). DS2's wife's family (father, mother and sister) also joined us. Will have a last day with them tomorrow before they travel back to Ireland on Tuesday. Will miss them loads once again but now got to get the house together again for a visit from my sister at Easter !!!

Thank goodness for this thread !!!!!!!!!

LOL to you all - just decluttering a glass of white 'cos I've been chauffering today and not had achance of a tipple until now ...

Oooooo almost forgot to tell you all, DH's number came up on the church lottery again (£10 win) today. I am sure it was his way of sending pocket money to Miss A & W for the trip up to York :D When I told them they both whooped 'thanks Daddy'

And on that happy note I bid you all goodnight xx

  • 00020121.gif clarissa_D and Lazarus78 , [STRIKE]you don't know what you have let yourself in for,[/STRIKE] it's lovely here:D

I have done OH work clothes, DS2 clothes for his club are all set out and paired socks. Afore-mentioned Ben Washing is now down graded to a hill and may well be null and void by the end of the week:T but on the sock front every sock drawer in the house is full and now I have about 30+ pairs of socks laying on the livingroom floor and no where to put them, begs the question as to why I bought so many in the first place?

Lady-L have fun with sexy tomorrow, just realised that don't sound good but you know what I mean:rotfl:

Question: whats the easiest way to clean venetion (sp) blinds? The ones in my room are badly needing done. Answers greatfully received.

00020325.gifsee you all in the morning (not too early may get a lie in till 8am:jor that may be wishfull thinking:rolleyes:)

I've rehomed my chickens because they were getting bigger and bigger and I need bantams really because of the size of the run we have for them. So I'm a bit sad.
Hugs Triker, we had to re-home a dog once even though we loved him to bits as he used to turn on people and then a couple of times on me and as I was just about to have DD we thought it best. But even though there is a reason to do it, it's not easy to do as they become part of the family so I totally understand why you're sad... hope the bantams manage to fill the gap a little bit when you get them...
Flower - yes I did! Was a great race but, wow!!, what a lot of rain!! 2 weeks to wait til the next one ........
Just a tad! Brilliant result for Jenson though... :j:j:j

Good night all, off to watch Kramer V's Kramer, will be back, flying tomorrow
BTW my eyes are sore now, does anyone else cry watching the secret millionaire?(maybe it's just me!!!!)
I love that film, and I cry nearly all the way through the last part... and yes, I cry at secret millionaire too... but I cry at most things like that...

On the flying front I have been decluttering this afternoon...
My lovely Mum has just given me ANOTHER task to add to my never ending list... She is clearing out her loft and we have had boxes up there since we lost our house - so she is bringing stuff round bit by bit...:eek::eek:

But it is good, in the ones she brought round today were my old jewellery box and hubby's special watch and my dad's signet ring were in it - I was sooooo pleased as I thought I had lost it and was really dreading telling my Mum, so now I have it on my finger and I am chuffed to bits... see, it is good to de-clutter... Mind you, the rest of the box had been up there about 5-6 years and in there were perfumes, aftershaves, paracetamol, Ex-lax and Imodium???? plasters, etc... a really weird mixture of stuff... mmmm, the perfume smells a bit ripe now and not sure about times on medicine, so don't think I'd better keep most of this stuff... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OK, off to bed now, although I do have Kramer v Kramer on, they've just stitched his eye and guess what, I'm crying again (thought they might have to do that to DS the other day, so sort of hit home)... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks pigpen and toots for the lists. I’m in this week hoping to get at least 2 stars. I have, as I do ever holiday, more things to do than there are hours in the day. I need to think carefully about what must get done and do those first then try somehow to prioritise my tasks so that I can make the best use of my time off.
