    Hello everyone

I'm having a seriously lacking in motivation day today, so i thought i would pop in and see you lot and see if i could find any. Biggest problem is i just don't know where to start i think, but i have been doing stuff as i see it and it isn't proving to be efficient.

I've been back at work one week and now it is the school hols for 2 weeks and i have a to do list longer than my arm, and growing every time i look around and find something else to do.

Anyway, hope you are all ok. I see a few familiar faces. :D

    Today i've:
    • dropped boys off at nursery
    • got WM on with boys clothes
    • fed both cats
    • emptied clothes airers, folding some and putting others to iron
    • put the folded stuff in wardrobes
    • hung wet washing on airers
    • checked internet banking and mortgage, paid CC bill and moved some money about
    • watered my lettuces and courgettes
    • emptied the dehumidifier
    • cleaned kitchen sink and drainer
    • made a banana cake
    • dealt with post
    • washed a load of DH's clothes
    • wrapped up some Easter gifts for my friends 2 kids
    • made lunch
    • done a load of washing up
    • written prior consent letters to nursery so they will put nappy cream on the boys
    • written a nice letter to nursery about parents evening
    • sorted out the boys PJs and towels for going to my mums tomorrow
    • organised outfits for the boys for the 2 other days they are at nursery this week.
    • printed out a work calendar to go in my teaching file.

It looks more when it's written down, guess i am just a bit overwhelmed by the scale of it. Right off to tackle some more stuff and then report back later.

    Michelle, xx

I have been forbidden to clean/FLY by Dr Dragon , actually it makes sense because we are going to visit family this weekend and he wants me to be able to

    a) survive the journey and
    b) be up to socialising whilst there

    :o

Dr Dragon sounds like a most caring reptile :D......maybe instead of the lists you could get prepared in advance for your trip. I know I always leave things to the last moment when it comes to packing and organising.

With regards to my own flying, I am coming to the conclusion that I am just a slow little flyer, prone to distractions which I can find any and everywhere! Anyway here's how far I have got this morning:

Magnificent Monday - master bedroom and landing
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Strip and wash the bedding[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]clear the floordrobe
    [/STRIKE]Level Two
    Wash the windows
    [STRIKE]Clear the landing of gibble
[/STRIKE]Vacuum the floors.. and the mattress before remaking the bed
    Level Three
    Dust and deweb
Wipe any grotty paintwork and furniture
    Check those smoke alarms!

Plus put away some Christmas presents I have bought in advance
    Wrapped nephews easter presents
    Half hour ironing

    Hi Peeps

Thought it was time I came back and said hello as I’ve missed you all. Heartfelt hugs to all those of you whose traumas I have missed. Well I have been busy, work has been pretty much non-stop and I have been going in 6 days a week so struggling to keep up with everything. OH is still off work suspended 5 weeks now and hasn’t heard a word from work for the last 4 of them (here’s hoping no news is good news). Luckily he has managed to pull himself from the doldrums and has cracked on with the allotment which is not looking beautiful which he wouldn’t have had the chance to do before. Have had several other traumas including DS bike being nicked and my deep fat fryer exploded hitting the ceiling and most of the kitchen with hot fat, luckily I’d stepped away from it so wasn’t hurt.

Will try and keep up with the flying if not the thread this week (so thank you pigpen and toots for keeping the lists going) as we too are going away in the carrievan next week to Coniston, so any flylady vanners up there let me know.

Looks like the weekend meet went well (except for poor Jo!)

Hope you get the bantams soon Triker to replace your chooks

Millie jo – hope you all feeling better now

AnW’s mum hope you enjoy your holiday, you too lilme

    Welcome Lazarus78, cally_c, blueberrypie

Casleigh – hope the necks better now with the physio done

Mojt – we have used Nitty Gritty which is really and their comb is the best, cleaned DD’s really long fine hair which the plastic combs used to miss. (Sorry just seen blueberry recommended it too) Hope the house news changes for the better

Valli _ I think I’ll avoid the peg matching thread for now!!!!

Hi michelle, nice to see you back. Long list as usual then :rotfl:

    afternoon everybody

have had a bit of a hectic morning - was having a wee long lie when my friend phoned to say her hubby the decorater was on his way to do the estimates!!!! well i rushed around and got sort of straightened - that will teach me to be lazy!
he has been and we have decided a plan - well sort of- it depends on my money and he is starting on tuesday next week.
now I can catch up with you ...

milliejo hope you are all feeling better this week
SGT more packing, packing, packing *toots cracks the whip*:rotfl:
Dusty hope Woody is recovering from his op. gentle cuddles for him.
Sunngirl awh bless your wee one! just shows how well you have brought them up!!!
hollyh well done in clearing the ironing mountain - its a very satisfying feeling isnt it?!!
FFP one of the easiest ways to clean venetian blinds is to put them in the bath with biological soap powder and very warm water and let them soak for an hour or two - cleans the bath at the same time! it is much easier than tryimng to do them hanging up- they can be washed down/rubbed and once rinsed if you can drape them over the line outside to drip - they dry quite quickly. HTH
iriedaughter - hope you get the school work out of the way first and dont have it hanging over you. And catch up on some sleep!!!!:rotfl:
casleigh good to see you and I hope the physio makes a big difference to you - be careful not to undo any good it has done!
lil_me enjoy your break - hope your connection works.
blueberrypie welcome to the thread - not sure if we should allow you with such a scrumptious name - its making my mouth water!!!! will be sending you a pm shortly!
likklegibbon what a lovely thing to do for your sister - :A:A (hugs) for you xx
sexy and Lady L hope you have had a nice time together.
pollybear hope your sciatica is easier - be kind to yourself and go gently (hug)
valli wow that was a great bit of gardening -well done to you both! will this do 990302ca433e46aa83f68dda842a3d96.gif
juliejim hope the shoulder gets easier - that will teach you to be on the booze so early!!!:rotfl:
mumofjust2 hope you have a super time away - I think you are doing really really well (hugs) just seen your update re the house interest - have you taken advice (CAB)?
mozzy take of yourself and get rid of that flu - you dont want it lingering.
The Dragon good thing someone can keep you under control - well done mR Dragon:rotfl::rotfl: well you will just have to keep us all in line instead this week! and I am sure there are sitting down jobs we could find - like having a coffee - painting your nails- sorting your makeup:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
michelle Hello honey - how lovely to see you here - hope the work is going ok - and as usual you are putting your self down - THAT IS ONE LONG LIST!!!!!! how can you say you are not doing anything! Ok little lecture coming here so skip forward if you dont want to hear! First of all i would suggest that you get anywork done that you need to for going back to school including your clothes and that will be all ready - 2ndly you need to do a list (GTD style) and prioritise - I know you do this so get back into it - what or where needs the attention first - is it the washing or the cleaning and concentrate on getting that in hand - you are on holiday so have time with your boys while you can - mornings in the housework and afternoons with the children? Dont stress with the mess - babysteps - one room at a time so that you can see where you have tidied/cleaned!
(hugs) honey I just wish I was nearer to help all you working mums when I have time on my hands!
kazmeister Nice to hear from you honey - for goodness sake I cant believe they still havent got DH sorted out and back to work - that is appalling - poor man must be so angry and frustrated (HUGS) for you both for such a hard time- at least he has the allotment and thank goodness the fryer missed you that was a very lucky escape. take care of yourselves.

phew ...think I have caught up - hugs for everyone just in case I missed something!

despite all my flying around like a headless thing this morning I have only managed to strip and wash the bedding from the list!

so off to do a bit more
anyone up for a HHC at 2.15-2.45

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

Hi Kazmeister...nice to see you back.

mumofjusttwo...right there with you with the nit problem...found loads of eggs in DD1's hair last night. So we'll be joining you with the conditioner and combing.
