E2 Save trying it on?

Ok I know there have been several threads recently about the clearence phones on e2 save and their shortness of supply, and I myself have fallen for this on the Pink Razr on orange. I got their standard message saying the item was in short supply yesterday and it could be in stock in 7-10 days, this after wating a day as their systems were overloaded.
Now i know some people have said that this really means tough luck we're not getting anymore in and I suppose I would have been willing to accept that had it not been for the fact that IT IS STILL ON THEIR WEBSITE AND SAYING IN STOCK TODAY!
If they pulled it off their website I might have understood a lack of supply but to keep it on, suggests something more sinister? Perhaps they dont want to pay out quidco referrals on top of giving something away free. Any one got any views on this?
I have emailed e2save with my concerns but don't expect them to answer.

sorry, but what can be sinister about a clearance offer actually doing what it's called?0

Redux if it is clearance and it is out of stock for those who have ordered it on the web through quidco, but still in stock according to their website now then what is it if not sinsiter?
To go through the order process you need to give bank details etc, so is it a way for e2save to contact people up to try to sellthem alternative constracts to those that they applied for?Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
I don't know - I imagine the website content only gets updated once a day, and occasionally has mistakes, like the cashback more than the rental that someone noticed yesterday0

My partner ordered the free d600 12 months free on orange the other day and is now in the same situation, however he never went through quidco.
He was initially advised that they were have ing system probs which delayed the order and now he has been told the handset is out of stock for approx 7-10 days.

I'm hoping the phone still arrives. I was looking forward to getting it. I'll be extremely annoyed if they fob me off. I suggest we all fight on if they fob us off..0

Still on website but only on a different tariff - ie they have them but don't want to hand out 280 cashback on a 240 tariff me thinksI think....0

Thats a thing I dont get - if they can offer same clearance phones on other networks, why not just change em over and send em out. Can't be that difficult!0

I've had a similar problem with OSPS. Order cancelled (on 12M free K750i) though, of course no email or call to say so, only found out when tracking order online. Guess they didn't fancy paying out for quidco. Still, I'll now try e2save, as they're offering the same deal, which they weren't before.0
