Today, I received my Handset + O2 contract SIM from carphone warehouse. I then called O2 customer services to verify my details.

O2-CS told I should speak to O2-CPW department and that they will deal with all my requests. I was also told, I won't have access to online account management. They then transferred my call to CPW department, but they were closed for today.

Has anyone got O2 contract from CPW, please answer me these questions.
1) How to find out by inclusive minutes balance.
2) If o2 account management is unavailable for me, is there a way I can check the latest updated itemised billing?.

I will mostly use this O2 contract (200 anytime) to call Simplyfone numbers and 0844 numbers and hence keep checking my itemised billing quite frequently.

If you buy a O2 Contract from the CPW they will bill you direct for calls and deal with all your customer service enquires.

CPW basically buys airtime direct from O2 and then sells it to you (The Customer) O2 simply provides the network for your phone to work.

Can I give you a bit of advice, it would be better for you to get your O2 contract direct from O2 ie an O2 shop or O2 online as when your contract expires after 12/18 months you will be able to negotiate a better retention deal with O2 Direct rather than the CPW.

Well, the offer I got from CPW is for Nokia6230i Clearance and just £1 for 10 months. I won't be able to get that anywhere else.

I wanted Nokia 6230i for long time and this deal was perfect for me. I can use the handset with my current Orange SIM and hope to use the O2 SIM to make International calls.

But if CPW bills me for this O2 Contract, I am now not sure if 07744 (Simply fone numbers), 0844 are now part of inclusive minutes.

You will be able to use the Orange SIM in it. Though it may need unlocking. Nokia's are easy enough to unlock.

0800 0808 0870 0845 0844 01 & 02 are inclusive within the bundle. I'm unsure about 07744.

Thanks. Yes I am using Nokia 6230i with Orange SIM, no probs with that.

I just spoke to CPW-O2 for 75 minutes discussing my charges.
1) CPW-O2 charges 99p for online itemisied calls. Other O2 contracts online itemised calls is free.
2) CPW-O2 charges for calling customer services. They have got a 0870 number. Other O2 contracts has a free number 100 from the handset.

However, CPW-O2 has told me 0870 will be taken out of inclusive minutes.

I will make a few calls to 07744 today and check my itemised bill few days later.
