Tiscali Grrr...

I switched to O2 broadband at the start of February from Tiscali broadband. Got my final bill in from Tiscali at the end of February advising that I was £0.94 in credit and asking me to call them on an 0871 number to arrange a refund. No way was I phoning an 0871 number, so I emailed them instead. I got a reply back saying they would issue a cheque for the £0.94 refund. Then yesterday I got a letter in the post saying they have sent the £0.34p (yes 34p!) back to the direct debit on file which I have already cancelled when I got the last bill.
Not only that they haven't sent the refund by cheque as agreed, they are trying to refund me £0.60 less than what I'm owed!
I'm so glad I left Tiscali now.

Hi,
Like you I have left Pipex and glad to be free of them. My question is regarding Quidco, who I see you quote at the bottom of your post. If I sign up with them, before I start service with my next ISP which will probably be BT, can I claim the figure they quote on their site for joining BT? I have sent Quidco a question asking this about 4 days ago, but I have received no acknowledgment yet.0 -

As long as it tracks and you complete wholly online your normally get paid.

Hi jhp,
In that case I could sign up to BT on the normal site for a year at £15.65 per month, claim my £47.50 back from Quidco, and then have BT BB for the equivalent of £11.69 a month. Is that how it works? That is cheaper than the call centre (who won't ring me back) have quoted, which was £12.99 a month. Result!0 -
No that is not how it works, firstly you must be registered with Quidco, then you must access the BT site via the quidco site, making sure that you delete cookies before you do it.Hi jhp,

Then the cashback is paid into your quidco account quite a while later.
LeeUK, I have also just left Tiscali and suffered a billing problem, billing me for the whole month when I actually left them early in the month. They have promised a refund by cheque!0 -

Don't forget http://www.saynoto0870.com/numbersearch.php they give you a number which takes you straight through to an agent, maybe you could phone to tell them they owe you more!0
