Important news for former Icesave ISA's

I was at the bank on Saturday trying to set up an ISA with the money refunded from my Icesave ISA before the April 5th deadline and was told that the date for reinstatement of these funds has been extended to October 5th.
This only applies to ISA funds recovered from Icesave and you must have your certificate with you, it is treated as an ISA transfer rather than a deposit and you can transfer up to the limit stated on your certificate. I dont know if you need to transfer the whole amount in one go or if you can stagger the transfer up to your full amount, I will ask when I go back on the 17th.
This is good news for me as I had spent some of my refund and put the rest into another savings account (not ISA) until the markets settled down a bit.

I am keen to find out if other banks are dispensing this information, I was in Bank of Scotland.
