Still looks better than fighting away with the hordes !You can check-in 24 hours before departure on-line. The LHR clubhouse opens at 7am. We get there for about 5 past, don't want to be seen as too keen!! Usually 4 hours is suffisiant to fill up and have a treatment. Don't forget to book your treatments in advance, they get full up pretty quick. AFAIK you can book up to 8 weeks in advance
Good to hear. My flight leaves at 22:30 so 7 am may be pushing my luck a bit ! I work in central London and was going to get the Heathrow express. Obviously i don't want to be doing this in rush hour so was wondering what the earliest time is Virgin would accept me in the lounge ?0 -

I am flying to Sydney in 2 weeks time on the 22.30 flight
Aiming to get to the clubhouse probably around 5pm, and have booked a haircut for 7pm, then just chill, have something to eat, and a few expresso martini's...:)
I think you can go as early as you want really, but you may get bored if you are there for the whole day...lol0 -

I didn't even realise you could book the treatments so far ahead.:o
That sounds perfect.:T
I think i will follow a similar plan. I just want to have the best experience possible. Like i say this is my holiday of a lifetime.

link to the clubhouse spa page, you can click on a link at bottom of page to book a treatment. Treatments can be booked from 8 weeks prior to flight.

the choice is ok, the portion sizes seem to be getting smaller though over the last few months, but you can always order seconds...;)
in the HK clubhouse I ordered a baked potato/sour cream, was about the size of a small new potato
followed by macaroni cheese, again was very small portion, but the drinks/cocktails made up for lack of food...lol0 -

I'm sure i will get adequate supplies of both food and drink. If i don't there will be trouble ! :rotfl:
I take it you fly with them on a regular basis ?0
