Boy, you must have led a sheltered life!
Seriously, this has been a good natured thread with interesting, committed views expressed. In fact, rereading it, your comment about my lack of compassion is the least pleasant comment in it!0 -

No, I think I can claim that particular crown Older!
I'm just on edge as I've had a CT scan which shows my cancer has spread and am awaiting news on quite how they're going to play my therapy. Clearly, I'm hoping that they won't use the 'terminal' word. (Now you do get fast-tracked for this)0 -

I think you're doing really well in the circumstances and hope things go better for you in the future.0 -
THANKS!
Appreciate that.
It is difficult to keep it together sometimes, as I'm sure others will testify. I'm carer and patient in my house, so not the easiest of situations.0 -
I hope everyone is feeling a bit better today. Sorry again (especially to James) for being so cross yesterday.
I think we all know how easy it is to get very worked up very quickly when we are talking about things relating to serious health problems!0 -

Oh, that's nice of you. Thank you. There's no need, but I think it's best to end on a conciliatory note in all things in life. As I said before, I'm as guilty as anyone for getting over-excited! We've all got our own very real health problems so we'd not be human if we didn't let our own experiences colour our take on things.
Anyway, good to hear from you!!0 -
I just want to say I hope things work out for you James, and anyone else struggling with a serious illness.
This kind of thread puts things into perspectives I find.0 -
