Cheapest broadband for Students

Heres the deal. I'm moving into a house for 6 mounths and we dont want to get a phoneline and we don't even want a tv. Does anyone know a way to get broadband without paying for a phone line? and for only for 6 mounths? The previous tenants had broadband if thats and use

you need a phone line from BT (or one of their 'resellers') - if you want to use ADSL, otherwise your very limited to cable/satellite or wifi if your lucky
but if you are lucky - i would have thought these companies would make you have a 12 month contract... due to lack of competition0
