Get your virgin refurbs - even if 'out of stock'

Virgin have some fones in their refurb section listed as out of stock

you can get round this by clicking the exact link to add to basket (which they remove when out of stock)

i have done this a few times already, sometimes the page refreshes on the 'checkout' page - which means you will not be able to order when this happens - but try again a little later/next day and it should be fine ;)

remember - if you log into your account first, you can get £10 off.

to get the £10 off, COPY the link & PASTE into browser... then add -NOSIM (including the dash) - this will get £10 off - as you will not be bying the Sim card pack aswell.

here are all the links for adding the fones directly to basket - even if they are listed as 'out of stock'.

Can you explain what the £10 if you go through your account bit means.....

    Thanks
    2007 £1749
    2008 £291.99
    2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.99
  • By going through your account, it assumes you already have a sim card, which they usually charge £10 for and is already included in the cost of the phone. Therefore if you don't need a sim card, they take it off the phone price (does that make sense?)

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

if you have an account with virgin mobile (online registered account)

then you log in, and effectively you can 'upgrade' your phone without having to buy a new sim.

    hope that explains it :)

The links as displayed are not quite right but the one above should be OK for the Nokia.

I'm glad someone else is thinking the same as me :D
Is the OP implying that if they don't have a refurb in stock, they will send you a new one for the price of a refurb?
... or is it just a case of you're at the front of the queue if a particular refurb does ever come back into stock (although I'm guessing that most of them probably won't)

There was a problem processing your order:
The maximum number of Nokia 1100 Handset - As News you can order at this time is 0
Please amend the quantity and click 'Go To Checkout'.

    No.

the thing is that at time they claim it is 'out of order' but you can still ordert them if you click the direct link in order to add directly to basket.

this has been posted on more than one forum, so stock had probably bee maxed out quite quickly.

but as stated, try every so often and it should work. the 'out of stock' means that most people cannot order, but idf you click the direct link, then sometimes it'll allow you to order even though their website claims to be 'out of stock'
