I know the feeling. It's good to be home with the kids again though ... and the cats :D - although not so good to be back in work today :( ... oh well, it's a necessary evil to pay for the next trip away! :D

Too true. Work's been a killer today and I really know now I don't like it! But it pays for things I need and want. :)

sorry if missed anything today but have been so busy out all morning and then this afternoon filling hanging baskets, and bits in garden and we started mowing the back lawn first time this year but can take up to 2 hours to do especially as slightly wet and so uneven, gave up after 3/4 of it and oh said he would finish tomorrow..
hope everyone had a good day and some wins..

TJ glad you had a lovely time

hi sorry to be nosie and asking few questions but it very easy to get down hearted when you doing this all the time and looking at everyones post of winners i just think to myself well it just gonna be my luck and never win as i have never won anything i am entering loads of comps so heres me questions if you wouldnt mind answering them.

how long did it take for you to win your first prize and roughly how many comps do you think you entered before you won?

roughly how many comps do you enter weekly?

i have read the beginners guide of comping but i was wondering on everyones personally experience!

thank you for your time in reading this.

Hi madhousemum and welcome to the inn. Why not stay and chat?

If you've read the comping guide on the main page you should have all the info you need. Some enter hundreds a week, some tens, some win straight away and others find it takes weeks, but we all do it for fun and enjoy our time on the forum. Personally I probably enter around 100 comps a week (when I'm comping, haven't done any for a few weeks now!) and my wins for this year can be seen in my signature. Hope this helps.

Right, new routine - for this week anyway - head on pillow by 10.30pm. So I'll be off now to sort stuff out etc. Night all, sleep well, see you tomorrow for hopefully another good day. xx

Oooh what did you get for the baskets in the end hun? :D

Evening all, well I have caught up with the posted today comps at last, but I still dont think I will get to the eggies tonight as I am gripped by my book at the mo and shall probs go and read that in a min, it's the latest Graham Hurley, Faraday/Winter saga. All about a Portsmouth Detective. I find it so facinating for a story to be so local, one book in the series was based at Ryde police station (my home town on the Island) fascinating stuff :D
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)
