Mine shows as 1784kbps which is 1.784mb. My connection is stated by Virgin Media as being "up to 2mb" I don't think anyone actually supplies the speed that they quote but get round it by saying "up to".
thanks for that, just a quickie from me. I got 1881kbps, which is 1.881mb. Is this good or bad please? And does anyone know how to find out from AOL what I am supoosed to be?
(Gert it was me re the FF probs)My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
I found this thread, and I don't know how good the company are, but some people seem to like them so I thought I'd post:

it depends on what AOL contract you signed to, but to me that sounds like the old Silver package, which is 2mb tops. There's somewhere on the AOL website you can log in and see what speed you are supposed to be able to get with a perfect connection - I'll see if I can find it quickly.. 1.8mb's good if it's a 2mb line.. https://selfcare.myaolbroadband.co.uk/selfcare/app/ should be in, you'll need to sign in
http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25795&s_cid=con_FURL_broadband/faster should be able to tell you what speed your line is capable of at maximum thoughBest wins since June 08: 2xNikonD60, 2xBrothers Cider, £330 SwanJackpot, £100 Garden Vs, £50 Espirit V, £750 BigSnap2, Wiifit, zoo tix, 7xCadburys, 5xGlamour, IOWTix, Dell Laptop, 3xIpodNano, £100 Highstreet Vs, Digi VideoCamera and more small bits, REAL DEAL £2400! :jRIP Dad 1943-20090
