Cathy, she text me back to say don't bother with a cake and she'll let me know asap. and keeps putting "hun" at the end of every text likes she's not !!!!ed off? :rotfl: just cos out party's are better so people will come here :rotfl: I'll bake a cake anyway, I would've just said it was for her birthday if she came along :rotfl::rotfl:

My jerk ex who lives in France rang me to tell me he's buying his wife-to-be some undies !!! Do you I really give a S---t about that!!! Luckily for him, I had already put him behind me years ago and it was me who moved on anyway but I still found it untasteful and very petty of him.

MELVIS- no making just buy ready made stuff , I know its lazy but just buy lots of tasty nibbles and put into bowls and even buy plastic ones so no washing

It depends on how much time you want to spend preparing food, home made potato salad is nicer (new potatoes, chives, mayo) but saying that sainsburys do nice prepared salads
I personally put the componets for a salad in different bowls, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, onions, etc as there is always someone that doesnt like a certain something,

loved it when worked in greece when younger the lamb cooking on the spits outside and everyone had weekend off and such a lovely time they had eating and drinking wine:rotfl:

KKK - I know how hard it is to not see someone when they are ill.

When I was pregnant with my LO my sister was pregnant at the same time, she was due a few weeks after me with my nephew. I had a phone call when she was almost 24 weeks gone to say she'd had a little boy but he was very ill so I raced over to see them straight away & spent most of that day with them all but my sister wasn't really with us due to the drugs she'd been given to stop the labour then to help with it when the midwifes realised they couldn't stop it so she didn't even know I was there 3 Days later she made the agonising decision to turn off my nephews machines & he died that day aged 3 days old. She asked all the family to be there but asked me not to due to me still being pregnant (I would have been about 26/27 weeks) so I had to respect that but it was horrible to get the text from family to say he had passed away.

Cheers Cathy, I like to make my own stuff where possible but I'm not exactly Delia Smith :rotfl::rotfl: might give this potato salad thing a whirl, I won't be eating it anyway :rotfl::rotfl:
