Bt Phoneline Connection

Good afternoon,
I have recently moved into a flat where there is no Bt line connection. I rang BT today and they said it is a fee of £120 to get this line connected. Is there any way round paying this fee or any other company who can provide the service for less?
We're very undecided as what to do as we are probably only going to be living at our current address for 6 months but we really do want internet access.
Any help wold be greatly received!

It's not £120 for reconnection, it's up to £120 for reconnection. Is there an existing master socket and line connected into the property? If so, you may not be charged at all as they can reconnect at the exchange. However you will have to take 12 months line rental, even if you are only staying 6 months.
If there is no physical connection at the property, then yes they will charge you the full amount, as an engineer visit is required. No free lunch, and no free laptop

See my earlier post
if you have cable in your area just say you had a flyer promoting free BT connection if you moved to BT from Virgin-worked for me but they did want 18 month contract
Hope that helps0 -
Hi sss626262
I'll check your address and confirm the connection charge for you. As macman says, our minimum contract term is 12 months for line rental. Reply to my PM if you want me to check it out for you.
Cheers
Linda
