Vodafone Discounts - Important Information

I added this information to the Vodafone Retentions thread yesterday, but just in case anyone misses it I am repeating it here. This is from a written response to my complaint to the Vodafone CEO

If discounts are added to the price plan where equipment has been issued, these discounts will be for a maximum of 9 months in order to cover the cost of deal.

I certainly wasn't told this at the time of my upgrade.

I have a £15 per month discount on my contract bringing it down to £24 per month on a 18 month contract, it expires in 4 months, so this has not happened to me.

I certainly hope they do not do this to me!!!
I have a 15 month discount on my 18 month tarriff.
Luckily got email confirmation from them confirming deal.
Will hit roof if they do not honour it.

It's true - I've just finished a 12 month contract and the final 3 months didn't have the discount applied.

Was told it was so they could do me a better retention deal, as it's based on my spend, i.e. the true cost of the contract. Also advised when I complained, that if I stayed, in addition to whatever deal I agreed, I'd also get the "missing" discount back.

Just renewed, so I wait and see!
