I think you have to log on to the Symantec website using the log in details provided when you started using Norton and cancel the renewal that way.

Yep, thats right - you need to log-in to your Norton Account (Click Here) and then you'll see 4 links at the top of the page - the last one (Automatic Renewal) is what you click (Click Here) and then you see a little tick box next to your product and un-tick it, simple

If you 'lose' your credit card and advise the card company, they will issue a new one with a different number. The old standing orders can not be processed. The companies that were due to receive payments from the standing order will then ask for your authorisation to debit the new card, which obviously you will not give.
