PM received with thanks. Unfortunately i received one just before yours so i guess it would be the correct MSE etiquette to go with the first one i received. Thanks Again.0 -
There has been no change to the way the account works."Access
• Post
• Telephone (enquiries only / non-transactional)""We require all withdrawal instructions to be in writing....."
This means letter or fax.
Strange that Section 4.2 of the application form invites applicants to tick a box if they want to apply for online banking.0 -
No problem, thanks for letting me know.
I just wish people PMing in cases like this would have the courtesy to say so in the forum so that others don't PM unnecessarily, wasting their time and flooding people's inboxes.0 -
ah Martyn, thats a bit churlish. Worth getting your inbox a bit clogged don`t you think, just think of all the £50s that you have already earned0
-
Nope, to be honest I think it's more churlish to PM without letting others know you've done so.
Someone made a comment ages ago about G_M and I hogging referrals; I pointed out that it looked that way because we both always post when we've PM'd, but that certainly doesn't mean each of those ended in a referral as often people would have beaten us to it, but not posted.0 -
but that certainly doesn't mean each of those ended in a referral
There are now a mass of people offering refferals, responding to requests, even starting bidding wars on percentages. New applicants select referees on the basis of speed of response, % offered, charity donation offered or general contribution made to the forum.
I'm not about to get involved in debates about the rights or wrongs of different ways to earn referrals. Chill out guys!0 -

I think you'll find this refers to the online access that's always been available - viewing your statement only. It triggers the sending out of a password. Whether 'online banking' is the correct term for them use could be the subject of a whole new discussion.....which I won't be getting involved in!0 -

OK, thanks for that. I'll find it useful even it it is just to view statements.
I'm ready to send off my application so please will somebody give me a referral. I'll post here once I've received one. Thanks very much.

I've now accepted a referral, thank you, so no more offers are needed.
