Updated HRMC with final figures and payments not as expected??

To update; having updated CTC at end of March with end of tax year figure, I discovered, with the help of experts here, that a "potential payment" listed on my Ammended Tax Credit Award Notice would be held until Renewal Time.

Updated CTC with figures now that I have received renewal pack. Phoned tonight to give exact figs for Childcare in this tax year and change bank details and took the opportunity to ask if my renewal (done 2 days previously) was in the system and the figs they have quoted indicate that I'm not getting the "potential payment" according to their screens. I am getting an increase in monthly childcare payments which is confusing given that at the time of renewal, I didn't change the childcare because I hadn't worked it out.

After giving my 08/09 final figures I gave them estimates for 09/10 because I know I will be on my full pay this year.

Anyone any idea what is happening? Is my "potential payment" being spread out over the new tax year or am I no longer entitled to it for reasons unknown as yet?

Adviser said paperwork not released yet but info was on screen.
