for a long time ive noticed security vans owner by companies like group 4 who and collect cash to and from banks, they have stickers on the back saying "police, follow this vehicle".
ive noticed police pass these vehicles and not bother to follow them,so should they follow them? why should they follow them? are they obliged to make sure they meet thier next stop ok and then leave after that?
or is it simply a deterant to potential thieves?
i need to know as im planning to hold one up

I have also seen this,
Def not obliged to follow them, merely a request I guess in the unlikely event the Police have 'down time' and nothing better to do!0 -
sometimes if they are transferring a large ammount of cash they have a police escort usually unmarkedI

Every time I see the one fill up the ATM's in my local Tescos and there is ALWAYS a old bill car parked ther and goes with them. They have GPS anyway
Have seen a convoy of 4 on two different ocassions going towards Bank with a police escort and deffo a cash van and not a prison van0 -
Aren't they tracked by the air? and also have GPS so the police and the company know where they are, or where they should be.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

It normal says please track/follow this van if been driven between certain times i.e. 8pm to 6am,meaning its probably nicked.0

Are you sure there's a comma between 'Police' and 'follow' ?

It's an agreement between the police and the cash carriers that if the police car isn't on a call that it should follow the vans.

Perhaps they should use reverse psychology, like Police please don't follow this vehicle. Bet they would stick to it like glue
