Claim Mangment Companies

No and other people are looking into and checking out the companies before they go with them. Am not sure anybody is recommending them. If somebody asks for help then I am sure people are giving genuine advice based on their personal experiences not on gossip that goes on in the background.Natalie6999 wrote: »When you have seen the result of bad financial advice & the effect it can have you learn to be very wary.
Claims management companies are springing up all the time, making false promises, charging clients massive amounts & tying them into contracts that are difficult to understand. In most instances they could have made the claims themselves & had all of the money claimed for themselves.
On a forum like this no one should be recommending anyone to manage claims or pushing anyone in that direction.:mad:0 -
where are the posts when someone has advised people to go with claim handlers?(it will save me time trolling through all posts) no one would recommend any company on this site, all advice is peoples opinions not telling people what to do. i await your replyNatalie6999 wrote: »When you have seen the result of bad financial advice & the effect it can have you learn to be very wary.

I work in a financial services area & have seen how all forms of money & claims management push their services as being the easier way forward, they don't tell you that you could do it yourself & can charge up to 40% of any refunds in fees.
More information should be made available to CAB & local advice centres about how easy it is to make the claims yourself & more publicity should be in the media to demonstrate how to do it yourself.
My knowledge of these companies is not from background gossip but from seeing how much bad advice can devastate lives through my work.0 -
you still have not answered my question WHERE ARE THE POSTS WHEN SOMEONE ON HERE AS TOLD SOMEONE TO GO TO A CLAIMS MANAGEMENT COMPANY as you seem to suggest thisNatalie6999 wrote: »I work in a financial services area & have seen how all forms of money & claims management push their services as being the easier way forward, they don't tell you that you could do it yourself & can charge up to 40% of any refunds in fees.

If you work in Financial services why when your M and S claim did not work did you post on here for people to help you. And get cross because nobody could give you advice. Surely you have inside information for people to help you. What Financial services do you work for. Perhaps you could help people on here.Natalie6999 wrote: »I work in a financial services area & have seen how all forms of money & claims management push their services as being the easier way forward, they don't tell you that you could do it yourself & can charge up to 40% of any refunds in fees.

You keep saying you do not want PM's going on in the background and to post on here to help other people. I would ask you the same question instead of saying "people have been led astray" perhaps you could let us all know who "people" are.:mad:0 -
hi there i did my own claiming all it cost was the price of two stamps, if you can get a no win no fee as petermb suggests that would be good allso, di:Agave sound advice as well . but at the end of the day the final say is yours, good luck to you in whatever you decide to do xhardcore_kid101 wrote: »Just a couple of quick question really.
Has anyone had any experience with a claim managment company - good or bad?
Is it worth signing up with a claim managment company inorder to get your PPI and bank charges claimed back. I know they take a cut from your eventual payout at the end, but is this cut worth not having all the hassle of the claim?0 -
NATALIE6999 i am still waiting. are you sure you are not an mp? they never give you a straight answer to a question either0

Try reading Booi666's post on 28-03-09 he had been recommended a claims manager by someone on here.
For your information I am in the salaries & benefits area of Financial Management ie nothing to do with Insurance, reclaiming PPI or the legal side of this.0 -
