Ilkley and Keighley - both stores still standing empty and forlorn."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Finally we hear what is happening to ours. - we are getting a second Poundland.Hope they get some more staff as the new store will be huge and already known to have massive queues at any time of the day. I have to say I wish it had been a Home Bargains or some other alternative. The reason ours has been empty so long is the local councils rates and rents.. most of the stores in our 2 shopping malls stand empty or don't last long due to this..What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

Bit of a generalisation - we can see from this thread a variety of stores in the South East being different things.. Iceland actually took over very few from the looks of things.I take it you would class London and the surrounding areas as being the South East?most or all of the woolworth in the SE are going to be iceland. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

My new local town one (Llanelli) is becoming an Ethel Austin clothes shop. I always see nice things from this shop in magazines, but the one time I went to one elsewhere Iwan't impressed, it seemed very cheap.
Not sure on what the Swansea one is changing to

Anyone know what the Stockton-on-Tees one is going to be, when I went past the other day for the first time in ages it looks like they're starting to change it into something else? I'll have to have a look in the Redcar one when they change it over, sounds interesting
