Woolworths In Chelmsley Wood is going to be Home Bargains, does not say when it is opening but they are working on it now.

Our old Woolies was turned into a 99p store too.:embarasse We were all hoping for something a little more upmarket, especially as a Co op department store that closed about a year ago granted a temporary lease to a Poundland just before Christmas. So now these 2 stores are competing with each other.

Sadly, quite a few decent shops have disapeared from our high street over the past few months.

Sutton's Woolies is still sad and empty, the one in Banstead became Waitrose last month, after the Waitrose on the high street burnt down!

The one in Inverness is still empty. Got 2 floors. Would like to see someone/company use it

There was talk about the Carlisle one becoming a Primark, although it probably won't. We really need one though, there aren't any decent shops selling cheap clothes here. I hope you are listening Primark bosses!
