After posting on here about AOL i thought i would check to see when my contract ends, I rang and it had ended so i ask them what they could offer me they could not offer much so i requested my MAC code and then they put me though to another department. I was paying £9.99 and asked about the £6.99 deal they said you need to take a talk plan out with them and i am unable to move (in contract with another company) so the kind lady Anne renewed my 12 month contract at £9.99 unlimited and added a credit onto my account of £36 not only that they are sending me a wireless router out for free. I did drop the fact O2 offered me BB for £7
Saving of £36 in my pocket (about 3 1/2 months free BB :T )

This kind of thing really depends on what area you live in. If you're in a non-LLU area like me, it's very unlikely you'll get deals like this :-(0

Exactly herman... AOL couldnt offer me much due to the fact that im in a non AOL LLU area, but they still kindly credited my account with £32 for the inconvienience.March 2016 - Barclay Card: £7,213.820

Can I ask which package you are on, and what you pay per month please?
I have not been able to get the £9.99 deals at all!! I am on platinum package with the free evening and weekend calls package and as I am not in virgin area or aol LLU area I am stuck at £17.99 a month
It is unlimited download though, so I have been loathe to move as no one else seems to do this any more
??
Thanks, MrsB.
It's only a game

I've been with AOL since 2003 - In January of last year I decided to change ISPs and rang up asking for a MAC code. However the rep I spoke to offered to drop my tariff to £9.99 provided I committed to another 18 month contract, I thought this was a really good deal and I agreed to this. However after 6 months had gone by my monthly charge rose to £14.99, when I rang them up and questioned this they said that was what I had agreed and denied all knowledge of promising me £9.99 for the whole 18 months. I feel cheated by this.
Plus the service has got a lot worse, I'm getting disconnected quite often and when I ring the helpline for advice on this I'm told it's due to 'outage problems'
So on the whole not very happy and when this contract ends in the summer I while be changing ISPs no matter what offers their salespeople make me.feeling lucky?:beer:0
