I think if people don't receive/can't use their cards then they should be reported to an advertising standards agency...but I would give them till 15th of May because they may be genuiely overwhelmed etc...

Sorry to say but the FAQ lies, they're not accepted, I know, I've tried to use mine:mad:

Iv'e not won one as far as I know, as I only started playing after it broke, but can you use it online Munchkim? does it have the usual 16 digits across it and an expiry date and a 3 digit security code on the back? just a thought xx
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

cannot get my head around how bad this promotion is ! it's all very well them saying our entries are still being accepted, but i see their t&c say they are not responsible for "lost" entries!!! they have a complete get out clause for all our entries that may be screwed due to their "techincal" problems. i think they should have stopped this promo insantly there was a problem - informed their customer services to be honest and then resumed when "system" was back in operation. i certainly shan't be buying magnums again.

furthermore, as the person above stated, the cards are NOT accepted as easily as a credit card. it causes a huge delay at the till as various people are called over to work out how to use it and even then, for me, in two shops they declined it all together. i felt like a criminal trying to use a stolen card!

Isn't there a regulatory body for competitions that should be looking into this?

I don't know how they can get away with it - it is a blatant abuse of trust, in my opinion. Saying "don't worry, we're looking int the problem" is not the same as "hey folks, all your entries are 100% guaranteed safe and we know how to fix this".

When someone tell me they are "looking into it" (especially when they are looking into it for so damned long  ) I am inclined to believe that they haven't actually got the foggiest what is wrong. Let alone how to fix it.

I am actually pretty horrified that after all the abuse that the TV companies got from running dodgy competitions, it seems as though big companies are not answerable to anyone! As long as you can afford lawyers to write watertight clauses into your T&Cs, you can do whatever the hell you want.

this comp is driving me nuts i saved my sticks becouse what was going on then decided i would enter them
6 sticks dont work says code not on the system, they are quite clear and readable :o

I tried one stick and was told that the code didn't exist. It was the first code that I could actually see clearly so I was a bit irritated.

I tried to put it in again 2 hours later - and it went straight through! And yes, it was EXACTLY the same code that I typed in.

So what does that say about their system?

Maybe we should do something about this? It's been pretty shocking...
