  • Do any of you have any idea of how many magnum sticks in total you have entered since you started the Magnum comp??? I think it will be amazing to see some of the huge amounts. Lets see if we can find the Magnum queen, or in Orange's case king!!

225 sticks in total, 218 entered so far, 7 to go.

Last win was #179 in 3-4am draw Sunday, wem rec'd 4:35 this morning.

Assuming still 48hr 35min delay for results, should be about to draw my stick #184 in a minute.

Total £390 from those 184 sticks. Cost 50p/stick = £92, profit £298 and some ice cream...

Humph, nothing from #184 then. Stupid stick...
    ;-)

Ah, yes. My two entries were accepted in the same hour because I am using a different email address for each entry. If that was behind my 2 1/2 days without wins they must have matched IP addresses. I s'pose they would then have barred my entries while they investigated. This is all completely speculative anyway, could all just be luck of the draw, but I'm sure they would have realised people might use loads of email addresses and enter more than once so it's quite feasible...

Yes, we're on Saturday. Still getting wem's 48 hours and 35 minutes after the close of each draw.

thats confussing so do you think magnum are behind if there still chucking out saturdays emails

  • Up until the 9:15 mine was 107 approx since the 17th of this month as I came across this comp late Typical!!!

Yeah, I came across the comp late. Not a comper (til now) and never won anything except a colouring competition when I was 6. Bought a Magnum to eat, entered it 1-2am 5th May, won £20. Next time I wanted ice cream I bought another one, entered it 2-3am 3rd June, won £20. Next time I bought a box of 3 to eat because I wanted to enter the sticks, entered 6th, 7th, 8th June (I thought it was one entry per DAY, duh!), won £20 from the 6th. Then I started entering as many as I could eat, 3-4 a day. Friday before last (18th) I was on stick #31 and £100 and increased over the next 3-4 days from 5 per day to 15-20 per day as I realised that the odds were good enough to borrow the £100 my dad had given me to buy myself a birthday present with (good timing!) with confidence I could win it back. Noticed comp mentioned on MSE email around 22nd and here I am.

At first I was thrilled to win something and thought it would help get my daughter a bike from eBay for her birthday. When I found a really nice bike, reached £80 and found that the bike was £150 new I decided that I'd get her one new if I reached £150. Then I thought I might reach £200 and set that as a target. For a few days last week wem's came so quickly my target became £300 for only a couple of days before I realised with pleasant surprise that £400 was a more reasonable target and soon predicted I'd probably reach £500 by 30th. Then I stopped winning for a couple of days and thought that was it. Now I've had another £30 this morning I only need a £10 to reach £400, which is fantastic! With 41 sticks to go I could reach £500, but wouldn't like to predict; I went longer than that with no wem's for the past couple of days, but had £140 over that many sticks in the days before that, so who knows. £500 is the magic number for me now though...

But I digress (as usual). Short answer is, no, I'm not the Magnum King with only 225 sticks.
  • C'mon dawnylou, just be ravenous girl, you got less than 24 hours to put us out of our misery, we wanna do a magnum cheer for you!

Sorry, Sunday. The Saturday one was the midnight one. Still seem to be 48 hours, 35 minutes from the end of the draw.
