credit cards transfering money from bank acc

Is it lawfull for companys like barclay card to jus transfer money from my barclay account,to pay of arrears on my card,i have not given permission,or signed a d/debit ?

    Yes they can. It says in the t and c that they can use funds from one account to offset debt from another

    You gave permission when you accepted the T+Cs of the card and of the current account.

    Yes, it's lawful for a bank to offset funds from one account to clear debts in another.
    It usually only occurs as a last resort when the debtor ignores repeated requests to pay/fails to keep to agreements which have been placed.
