    hello, finally today i organised an over payment standing order, i am with the halifax and can pay off a specific amount, i set it up from my current account, sort code and account number, in the reference line i put my roll number ! Good luck
    Mortgage free Start amount feb 2014 227000. Current amount nov 2014 217000.

    Challenges 2015
    No alcohol January. No spend February
    Write down all spends over the whole year

    This is my first post in any forum so apologies if I've done it wrong but my question is...
    I've got a new job which is 5 grand a year more than what I am on. I am use to living on what I earn at the minute so wondered is it worth overpaying on my mortgage or investing in an ISA for 5 years then taking what I get from that to pay a lump sum off my mortgage? I've 20 years left on my mortgage but don't want to work that long so want to reduce the years. I only have a small credit card debt which I have at 0% so no point paying that off early, apart from that I have no other debts.
    Any financial advice how to invest this extra income would be much appreciated.
