It wouldnt be the management getting it in the neck. The company will have insurance which is what it would be paid out from. please try and talk him round. If he is sick and unable to work he wont be going back and probably needs some financial support other that sick pay.
Life is obviously painful for him and i know what pain you are going through too having to watch him go through it. No matter what age they are they are still your 'babies' and you would rather go through the pain yourself. Take caremake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0

Thanks so much to everyone that has got back to me. Its so nice to know there is nice guys/girls willing to help with some info on this.
It just upsets me that my son is dealing with so much at his age and im 54 and doing the best sould be other way round. I tryed saying to him ages ago about the ladder fall as it was down to poor stacking of stock and his back did really kick in big time around that time. But said he would not do that as he loves the job (been there 5 years in oct) and didnt want the management getting it in the neck.
Its driving him mad being at home has he worked fromhe was 14 after school and has never been out of work.
But i dont see any hope for him going back there when the doctor is saying to get a desk job. Dont know what to do for best
He should def.seek legal advice re the ladder incident,at the end of the day it will be the employers liability insurance who will pay out not the employer, might be an idea to see a no win no fee solicitor, they can be quite good the one my DD had for her accident got £8,500 for her when she was expecting no more than £2000 at most0

Re the ladder incident, It is not just a compensation issue, if it can be proved some of his back issues and therefore the (expected) loss of is job is down to the ladder incident, then he would be eligible to claim industrial injuries disablement benefit on top of any others benefits he may be eligible for - currently about £110 per month

I'm getting confused with two threads running and different information on each.
What does your son want and when exactly did this accident happen.0

            confused how? Different information?
The thread in the jobs Area was to ask what rights he had on them asking for his file (His Boss) as its a ? about work so had to go there.
The one here was to ask if he did give up work on med grounds would he get Benefits has this is the benefits area it had to go here.
As for different information I dont see whats different other than the ?09 Wins= 5 Rugby balls, 3 Football. A cricket ball. 6 Books. A subway, A T.Shirt, 2 Durex Goody Bags, Beyonce tickets X 7 SETS A Magnum card. 2 glamour wins. Coffee, Jewellery. Moble Phone:ABe nice and hit Thanks0
