We are going to put our little pup in the kennel in June , she`ll be 7 months and small breed.
It would be nice to find someone for swaps, but don`t know anyone.

About 10.00 per day, don't forget the month before to get the kennel cough vaccination done, most kennels will not allow you pup to stay if you don't have it done, although all should refuse.

the 10.00 covered food etc, did this at Christmas with Perry and he even got a Christmas stocking

Highfield www.kennelandcattery.co.uk 8.00 per day, they also do pick up and drop off, prices are based on mileage, they are nice people, take a tour its so nice and clean..

Perry was with them at Christmas, and i couldn't fault them at all, seeing as it was his first time

Check several out, some can be overcrowded and you dont want your dog staring at the bum of another dog in the next kennel all day. Also if they board cats aswell as your dog doesnt like them ................

I think a lot of it depends where you live. I pay £12.50 a day because they charge extra for feeding twice daily, extra meds, that sort of thing. They also walk twice daily whereas the cheaper kennel next door doesn't walk them at all, just lets them out into an enclosure. (Midlands.) My brother in Cumbria pays a lot less.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

we put our dog in and it is £8.00 a day he is fed twice a day and he has injections twice a day and he is blind, we always give them a good tip as they are so good with Truff and dont charge extra because he is diabetic. I would suggest you visit prospective kennels and ask for a tour ask lots of questions, the good ones dont mind at all. We tried a couple before we found one that we liked. Good luck I hope you find some where nice.

Just to back up what paprika said book your dog in for a kennel cough vacination in may 4 weeks before they go in the kennel or else they might not take you, the good ones ask for and check your dogs vaccination certificate.

the kennel i mentioned won't take pets without kennel cough, infact he will want to see your inoculation book, all heated pens, it really is nice compared to the one i saw in weston which i would of had shut down if i had my way, it was nasty all the animals cowled not happy at all

There are some awful places. Certainly worth paying a few quid a day extra for good ones.

Always visit, i just turned up to the one mentioned, they didn't know we were coming until we were there, had a guided tour, get a feel for the place, you pet is going to stay there for a few days, you know what your pet likes, will they like it, you'll only know if you visit first.
